Stomach

This is a view of the anterior surface of the stomach.  The esophagus and the esophagogastric junction are depicted. The sketch shows the lesser and greater curvature, including the angular notch (incisura angularis), and the pylorus.  This drawing is in its early stages.  Later in the lecture, we add to this drawing the divisions of the stomach, the greater and lesser omentum, the anterior and posterior vagus nerves and its branches, and the structures of the portal triad.

We do include a detailed description of the gastric blood supply and the anatomical and vascular relationship between stomach and spleen.  This is specially important for laparoscopic procedures.
